Mr Low Peng Kit is a Member of the Singapore Institute of Directors (MSID) and has served as an Independent Director for the past 25 years. He brings with him a wealth of experience, having served on the boards of companies across diverse sectors, including food and beverage, education and training, medical services and healthcare, as well as construction.
He is currently the Managing Director of Little Red Dot Bakery Pte. Ltd. and First Medical Centre Pte. Ltd., and also serves on the boards of other companies. He was re-elected as Director and Council Member of the International Institute of Mediators (Singapore) Limited (iiM) for the current term of office.
Beyond his professional roles, Mr Low is a passionate and active community leader with over 45 years of service. He has contributed on numerous national and grassroots platforms, including the REACH Supervisory Panel under the Ministry of Communications and Information, School Advisory Committees under the Ministry of Education, Chinese Development Assistance Council (CDAC), Community Development Council (CDC), CCC Community Development and Welfare Fund Committee (CDWF), PAP Community Foundation Branch Executive Committee (PCF), Community Club Management Committees (CCMCs), and Residents’ Committees (RCs). He also served for more than 25 years as an adjunct faculty member with the People’s Association’s National Community Leadership Institute (NACLI), and has contributed to organisations such as the Town Council (TC), Singapore Chinese Calligraphy Society, and the Singapore Clan Associations.
Currently, Mr Low is appointed as Grassroots Mentor (GM) and Honorary Chairman of the Yew Tee Citizens’ Consultative Committee (CCC). He also serves as a member of the Yew Tee Community Club Building Fund Committee (CCBFC), and is the President of the Canchan Athletic Association and the Agarwood Association of Singapore.
As a Mediator since 1998, Mr Low has extensive experience in resolving both corporate and community disputes. He holds a Diploma in Management Studies and is recognised as one of Singapore’s pioneer mediators with over 27 years of practice. He was conferred Senior Life Membership by iiM and continues to contribute actively as a course coordinator, trainer, coach, assessor, and mentor, with wide-ranging intercultural mediation experience across organisations.
Since 1992, Mr Low has also served as a licensed solemniser of marriages in Singapore, and over the past 30 years has solemnised hundreds of marriages, helping couples embark on their lifelong journeys together.
